Thats one way of viewing it. But as I see it there is no good and evil in this movie, only ignorance and greed. Just pointing out the humans as villains is wrong because they are outcasts from society (woman and invalids) who just want to make a living. But it escalates and the forrest and the people fight each other, not for resources but because of hatred and revenge. That is why Ashitaka comes and "sees with eyes unclouded by hate" (as he says in the english version). He is not picking sides but only tries to solve the conflict peacefully. And this is why I love this movie, it doesn't have a villain, just different perspective.
